I did mine with the engine in took off the header for room but wasn’t too bad .

How did you guys like using Lucas power steering fluid? Is it better the the standard valvoline power steering fluid ?

Thank you for sharing the story - it's a tough spot to be in with a car that is really in good shape, perfectly functional yet you know with the parts cannon you have setup it will be a wild ride when done. It would be a struggle to install all that suspension & the 347 combo for me. I have racey cars, but a stock-ish survivor type of car that is quiet, reliable, feels old has a charm to it that is difficult to duplicate & would be hard to find again. so my question is, would the RR suspension and 347 go into another interesting old Ford easier? I'm seeing in my head a warmer 260 and some roller spring perches would wake up the Falcon and keep it real. don't know, just theorizing. I do like the idea of dark aqua and a black roof... love all the videos! keep at it! Jeff

Mercury has an awesome dark aqua in 1969, I'm thinking of the Cyclone CJ.

IN 1970 I bought my first car.. It was a beautiful 1964 FALCON FUTURA, hard top, 260 2 barrel, T10 4 speed, and blue on blue. It had 64,000 miles, 6.50-13 tires, and under side of car could be waxed. The only modifications were SPRINT TACH mounted in heat gauge hole, gauge cluster under dash, and back up light in center of tail light. I install f-70 x14 radial tires. Alignment numbers for the JETSON radials in 1970 were not available. I had a little shop align for the radials. HE did a lot of adjustments. The car was the best driving car I Have owned except in snow..

We'd love to watch you put some time into getting whitey ford to where you or your wife wants it.

I completely get why you have that car for all those years. It’s the little things that tie it to your life. I had a 66 Corvair with a 327 in it. Had it for 25 years and sold it. Listened to other people. Never thought of all the little things I had been through along the way. Thanks for sharing that story. Always enjoy your videos when I get time to see them.

Wow. I have watched your videos since you started making them. I honestly think, that's the best video you have done. You talked like I do with all my friends at car shows. You really made us feel like we had our folding chairs, and was setting right beside you. And you also included yourself, and members of your family. (And you never do that). Enjoyed your story about Whitey Ford, and would love to hear the story of the galaxy, too. I'm sure a lot of us have memories associated with our classic cars, that make them much more valuable to us, than the market would support. The memories that you have of Whitey Ford and your dad and your mom, I know are priceless.

I got my ‘64 4-door Falcon Futura because it was a 1/10th of the cost of a mustang or Camaro and I needed something to wrench on.

Great story.......my dad passed when I was young... you're lucky..... I was on my own trying to get my classic ..... Unfortunately...it was a 59 Cadillac or a 61 Ford Starliner Now .....theyre expensive....so.

LS1 is a copy of the 351 Windsor but the Windsor has way bigger bottom end bearing to make the power with a slight modification you put the LS heads on the Windsor 🎉
